Why we soft wash roofs and siding
The black streaks on Florida roofs are a living algae, and the green film on siding is mildew. A pressure washer knocks the color off but leaves the growth behind, so it comes back within a season. It also strips shingle granules and can force water behind siding.
Soft washing uses about the pressure of a garden hose. The cleaning solution kills the growth, which is why a soft-washed roof usually stays clean for two to three years. We still use a surface cleaner on flat concrete, where pressure is the right tool.

Common questions
How do I get a price?
Send the form or call with your address and what you want cleaned. We can measure most properties on satellite and give you a firm price on the phone. If you'd rather we look in person first, we'll come out.
Will the solution hurt my plants?
Not when it's done properly. Plants are soaked with clean water before we start and again after. A wet plant won't absorb the solution, and delicate beds get covered.
Does roof cleaning void my shingle warranty?
No. Low-pressure cleaning with an approved solution is the method shingle manufacturers recommend for algae. High-pressure washing is what strips granules and can void a warranty.
How long will my roof stay clean?
Usually two to three years in this climate. Roofs under heavy tree cover grow back faster than roofs in full sun.
Do I need to be home?
No. We need access to an outside spigot and a heads-up about anything unusual. Most customers are at work, and we send photos when the job is done.
